Ricardo Santos (Chihuahua, 1983 - )

Ricardo Santos is a distinguished visual artist hailing from the city of Chihuahua, Mexico, currently residing and working in Mexico City. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Arts from the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (2002-2007). His artistry has graced the walls of prestigious national venues, including NoEsUnaGalería, Galería Terreno Baldío, Museo Jumex, Museo de Arte Moderno de la Ciudad de México, Museo Franz Mayer, Museo Casa Redonda, and Museo del Desierto. Additionally, his work has transcended borders, with exhibitions in the Netherlands at the COBRA Museum, Art House Holland, NDSM Fuse Amsterdam, Museum de Lakenhal, and Old School Gallery, to name a few.

Santos's artistic journey has been enriched through two residencies at Art House Holland, Netherlands, and three at Art House, Tequisquiapan. Moreover, he is a co-founder and the director of NoEsUnaGalería, a self-sustained platform for promoting, collaborating, and hosting residencies for emerging artists on a national and international scale. This innovative platform has dual headquarters in Mexico City and Utrecht, Netherlands, and has facilitated over 100 collective exhibitions in both Mexico and the Netherlands, conducted 20 online auctions, organized four physical auctions in Mexico City, three "Buy or Burn" auctions in Utrecht, Netherlands, and one in Miami, Florida. Notably, Santos has also orchestrated live painting performances and, more recently, ventured into the realm of Virtual Reality art experiences.

With an impressive portfolio that boasts 92 collective exhibitions and 10 solo showcases, Santos's work has found a permanent residence in private collections in Mexico, including notable names such as Interceramic, Terreno Baldío Arte, Javier Marín, Pani, and UACH. Beyond the Mexican borders, his artistry has been welcomed into collections such as Fitzherbert, Gatacre, and Vandergeest.
